Responsible Consumption for a Sustainable Future
At MEC Global Partners Asia, our approach to sustainability is guided by the philosophy of the Three Principles of the Mitsubishi Group.
Corporate Philosophy

We uphold the mission of the Mitsubishi Estate Group and are committed to the long-term sustainability of our operations, actively working to minimize the environmental impact of our investment activities. Our investment philosophy is guided by the Group’s core values and Code of Conduct, with a focus on environmental stewardship, social responsibility and corporate governance.
MEC Global Partners Asia integrates globally recognized Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks throughout the investment lifecycle, adopting data-based asset management and aligning fiduciary responsibilities with long-term performance goals. All assets are subject to regular environmental certification and evaluated against country-specific sustainability standards.
We continue to strengthen our approach by aligning fiduciary responsibilities with regulatory obligations to meet our investment objectives. Through proactive risk management, stakeholder collaboration and performance-driven asset management, we aim to enhance stewardship and support long-term environmental outcomes. Our commitment to ongoing improvement ensures we deliver meaningful and sustainable outcomes for our investors and the communities we serve.
Sustainable Development Goals
As a responsible real estate investment manager, we support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and participate in initiatives that align with the Mitsubishi Estate Group’s SDG priorities across four key themes:
1) Environment
Sustainable urban development that proactively addresses climate change and environmental issues

2) Diversity & Inclusion
Urban development that responds to lifestyle and human resources trends and facilitates active participation for all

3) Innovation
Innovative urban development that continuously renews society

4) Resilience
Dynamic, flexible urban development that builds disaster resilient communities and prioritizes safety and security

Principles of Responsible Investment
MEC Global Partners Asia is a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and subscribes to the Six Principles of PRI. We incorporate ESG issues into our investment analysis and decision-making process and as active owners, incorporate ESG issues into our policy and practices. We seek appropriate ESG disclosures and promote acceptance and implementation of the principles within the industry by working together with stakeholders to enhance our effectiveness in implementation and reporting of our activities.

Net Zero Commitment
In line with our parent Mitsubishi Estate Group's goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, we benchmark our long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions against the Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) decarbonization pathway, based on the 1.5°C scenario outlined in the Paris Agreement and have set annual reduction targets based on the group-wide GHG reduction targets which have been approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in June 2022.
In the interim, MEC Global Partners Asia has a 2030 GHG reduction target of 2.5% per annum for Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions from the Baseline year of 2021.

Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark
We actively collaborate with stakeholders across markets to enhance the operational performance of every asset we manage. To ensure accountability and transparency, we engage third-party assessment bodies in each jurisdiction and participate in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) to track our ESG performance.
In 2024, our core fund the Pan Asia Realty Core Plus SCSp-RAIF, attained a 5-Star rating from GRESB.
